How to change the date/time of a transaction

Learn how to edit a transaction date/time

Updated this week

Due to errors in the data source (CSV or API), or due to linking two transactions such as transfers or swaps, some transactions may display an incorrect date or time, which may cause account alerts such as a negative token balance.

For this reason we allow users to manually edit the date/time of any transactions imported in account, regardless of the method used to import it.

How to change the date/time of a transaction

Follow these simple steps to learn how to apply the changes:

  1. go to the Transactions page from the main menu on the left

  2. locate the transaction to edit and click on the three dots at the right end. For a faster search you can use the Transactions Filter button at the top right

  3. then click on Edit

  4. modify the date and time using the provided calendar or simply digit the updated numbers in the Date / Hour field

  5. confirm your choice by clicking on the Confirm button shown in the modal

  6. lastly, click on Save changes at the top right of the screen

Editing the date/time of a transaction linked as a transfer or swap

When modifying the date/hour of a transaction that has been linked to its counterpart in a transfer or in a swap, the software will automatically adjust the time of the paired transaction accordingly.

After applying the changes, a modal like the one below will appear to inform the user of the changes made to the linked transaction, in order to maintain a correct accounting.

Press Confirm to accept the changes and make them effective.
