What is a TRADE transaction?
A trade transaction in cryptocurrency refers to the exchange of one asset for another—this could be between two cryptocurrencies (e.g., ETH for BTC), or between a cryptocurrency and fiat currency (e.g., BTC for EUR).
If the transaction didn't take place on one of the sources you automatically connected to CryptoBooks, or it wasn't provided by the API or CSV file, you can manually add it in order to have your accountability correct.
Examples:
Swapping 1 ETH for 0.03 BTC
Selling 0.5 BTC for €45,000
Exchanging 100 USDT for 98 DAI
How to create a manual trade transaction
click on Transactions from the main menu on the left
click on the Add transaction + button at the top right
in the new modal click on Trade
compile all the required fields, check the box at the bottom to confirm and finally click on Save and Add
check out this guide to choose between using the automatic market price or set it manually
done! your trade transaction has been added and will appear in your transaction list as shown in the image below
