Follow the instructions in this short guide to manage token transactions indicated as missing conversion rates.

Choose how to proceed

First, choose whether to proceed independently or delegate all the work to us by purchasing our consulting service.

Manage Spam tokens

In this step, all transactions are displayed grouped by token. Here you can mark as spam those tokens received for advertising purposes, which will be set to a value of 0, thus being excluded from calculations without any tax impact.

Manage Incoming transactions

In this step, we allow the user to set the conversion rate of Deposit transactions to 0 (you can select all or only some), then press the Apply a zero rate to N transactions button.

By doing this, the generated capital gain will be higher (and consequently the taxes to be paid at the time of sale): in the absence of certain data to enter, this prudent choice protects against any penalties from tax authorities.

Alternatively, you can skip this step by pressing the Go to next step button.

Change category for special transactions

In this step, you can change the category of transactions (single or multiple) by selecting a new one that does not require indicating a conversion rate. For example, Airdrop is a category that does not require a conversion rate as it always needs to be entered into the portfolio with a purchase price of 0.

After selecting the transactions to modify the category for, press the Modify category button, and in the new modal, choose the category from the dropdown menu, then press the Apply to N transactions button.

You can also skip this step and proceed to the next one by pressing the appropriate button.

Choose a unique rate for similar transactions

This step allows the user to assign the same conversion rate to multiple transactions (useful for transactions in the same currency on the same day, or for stablecoins that do not change in price over time).

Proceed by selecting the desired transactions, then press the Apply single rate button. After entering the rate in the new modal, press the Apply to N transactions button.

Clearly, it is not possible to apply the same rate to transactions of different tokens: you must select transactions belonging to the same token.

You can also skip this step and proceed to the next one by pressing the appropriate button.

Manage the remaining shortages

If at this point there are still transactions to manage:

  • Retrieve rates online to insert them manually

  • Press the 'Go to the list to correct them' button

  • Here you can:

    • Mark a single transaction as Spam

    • Select multiple transactions and enter a single rate, or label them all as spam

    • Select one or more transactions and change their category

    • Correct the conversion rate with the one found online by pressing the Correct button, which will open a modal where you can enter the conversion rate or the euro value of the transaction (they will update each other).
