Using the market price

Learn how to set the token price for your transactions.

Updated over 2 months ago

For every transaction imported into your CryptoBooks account, it is essential to assign a price to the token involved—whether it’s a purchase (deposit), sale (withdrawal), or exchange (trade)—to ensure accurate balance tracking and precise capital gains calculations.

You can choose to use the automatically retrieved market price or manually input a custom price.

By default, if no specific price is provided via the connection (API or CSV), CryptoBooks will apply the automatic market rate.

Refer to this article to learn how to use both methods according to your needs.
