In this article, you'll find all the information you need to connect Crypto.com to CryptoBooks via API and automatically import the transactions you made on your exchange.

⚠️ Transaction Synchronisation Delay (!IF NEEDED!)

Crypto.com can take up to 24 hours to provide us your transactions. If your connection is not always up to date with the latest transaction, this is not an error, but a normal delay in the synchronisation process.


How to create API credentials on Crypto.com

Follow these simple steps to connect your Crypto.com account to our software and import all your transactions into your CryptoBooks profile:

  1. on Crypto.com click on the profile icon at the top right corner of your screen

  2. click on Settings

  3. click on API keys

  4. click on Create new API key

  5. complete the authentication process required by the exchange

  6. check the box can read under API Restrictions

  7. once the security check is completed Crypto.com will show you two keys that you need to copy and store in a safe place because you will not be able to retrieve them in the future

    1. API key

    2. Private key


How to insert API credentials on CryptoBooks

Follow these steps to easily connect Crypto.com to CryptoBooks via API

  1. login into your CryptoBooks account and from the menu, select Connections

  2. click on the Add Connection button in the upper right corner

  3. click on the Crypto.com Icon, you can use the Exchange API filter or type "Crypto.com" in the Search Bar to find it easily

  4. choose a Name for your connection

  5. if you are a resident in Portugal or Spain, you'll be asked to choose the nationality of the intermediary. To know more, check this guide

  6. enter the API key and the API secret you copied from Crypto.com

  7. finally click on the Create Connection button in the upper right corner of the page

  8. the sync between Crypto.com and your CryptoBooks account will begin!
