CryptoBooks offers you two different ways to connect your Kucoin account.
Below, we explain what they are and their respective advantages and disadvantages.
ℹ️ Choosing between API or CSV
It’s important to note that the two connection methods (API and CSV) cannot coexist or work in a hybrid manner. The user must choose only one of the available methods and proceed exclusively with that one.
We always recommend trying the API connection first. In case you encounter significant gaps in transaction imports, then consider switching to the CSV file connection
How to proceed via API keys
Connect Kucoin through API keys following the instructions in this guide.
Advantages
new transactions made are synced automatically and do not need manual updates of the connection by the user
token balances are generally correct because provided by the exchange in real time
Disadvantages
due to the low data quality received through the APIs and certain limitations imposed by the exchanges, the user may need to manually add some missing transactions.
How to proceed via CSV file
Connect Kucoin through CSV files following the instructions in this guide.
Advantages
provides a more accurate list of operations carried out on the platform
reduce the risk of missing transactions in account
Disadvantages
requires periodic manual updates of the transaction history by the user
