When adding a new connection to CryptoBooks (either a wallet or an exchange) it is necessary to choose a category from the drop-down menu for the Default category field.

The chosen category states the main usage of that source by the user, as a consequence it will be the category automatically assigned to all transactions coming from that source.

However, the user has the possibility to manually edit the transaction category later if needed.

On top of this automatism, when the APIs allow it CryptoBooks recognizes and assigns the correct category to a transaction automatically, even if it differs from the main category set.
