When first activating a new paid subscription plan or when converting a free trial account into a paid one, users can apply the available discount code.
Upgrading to a higher and more expensive plan
When upgrading from an exisitng plan to a higher and more expensive plan, users can apply the available discount code
When promo/discount codes are not reedemable
Promo/discount codes can't be applied to the following cases:
Subscription renewal
Discount codes are not applicable to subscription renewals, whether automatic or manually performed by the user.
Downgrading to a lower and cheaper plan
Discount codes are not applicable to downgrades, where the savings are already included in the downgrade to the lower plan.
