When you use CryptoBooks, every transaction imported from your exchanges and wallets counts toward the annual transaction limit of your subscription plan.
If you exceed this limit, you will see the alert Transaction limit reached.
Once this happens, the platform will stop importing new data, and your balances and calculations will no longer be updated until you upgrade your plan.
What is the Transaction Limit?
The transaction limit is the maximum number of operations your CryptoBooks plan allows you to process each year. This includes every buy, sell, transfer, staking reward, or other recorded event.
Different subscription levels provide different limits, allowing users with higher activity to choose a plan that matches their needs.
To learn about the limit of each plan and how transactions are counted, please read this article.
Why is it essential to respect this limit?
Reaching the transaction limit has several direct consequences:
no more data imports: CryptoBooks stops downloading new transactions from your connected wallets and exchanges
outdated balances: since new transactions aren’t imported, your portfolio value shown in CryptoBooks no longer reflects reality
incomplete tax reports: your annual reports may be missing part of your activity, leading to errors or mismatches with Hacienda data
Keeping your plan aligned with your activity ensures that your records remain accurate and your tax reports are complete.
What happens when the limit is reached?
When the alert appears, CryptoBooks freezes the automatic import of new transactions. The data you already imported remains available, but nothing else will be updated until you take action.
By clicking the Upgrade button visible in the alert, you can access the list of available plans and choose one with a higher limit. Once upgraded, the system immediately resumes imports and updates your balances and tax calculations.
