Connecting a multichain wallet to CryptoBooks

Learn how to connect your multichain wallet to our software.

If you hold cryptocurrencies in a physical wallet (cold wallet) or a digital wallet (hot wallet) for which you do not find the dedicated connection on CryptoBooks and want to connect it to import your transaction history, read this short guide.


What is a multichain wallet?

A multichain crypto wallet is a type of cryptocurrency wallet that allows you to store, send, receive, and manage assets across multiple blockchain networks from a single interface.


Wallet available in the connection list

Follow these steps if your wallet is available when searching in the connections:

  1. login in to your CryptoBooks account and from the menu, select Connections

  2. click on the Add Connection button in the upper right corner

  3. type the name of your wallet in the search box, then click on its icon

  4. select the blockchain to connect from the dropdown menu

  5. if the blockchain supports connection via public address, proceed by inserting the wallet address in the proper field

  6. if the blockchain is not supported via public address you will be asked to upload a CSV file (for Ledger we accept native CSV files, for other wallets the CSV file must be compiled in our format)

  7. finally click on the Create Connection button in the upper right corner of the page

  8. the sync between your wallet and your CryptoBooks account will begin!


Wallet unavailable in the connection list

Follow these steps if you can't find your wallet when searching in the connections:

  1. login in to your CryptoBooks account and from the menu, select Connections

  2. click on the Add Connection button in the upper right corner

  3. if you can't find the name of your wallet search for the blockchain to connect

  4. click on the desidered blockchain

  5. if the blockchain supports connection via public address, proceed by inserting the wallet address in the proper field

  6. if the blockchain is not supported via public address you will be asked to upload a CSV file in the CryptoBooks format. Click here to learn how to compile it.

  7. finally click on the Create Connection button in the upper right corner of the page

  8. the sync between your wallet and your CryptoBooks account will begin!
