What is the Asset sales simulator?

The Asset Simulator tool is designed to let you test different crypto selling scenarios and see their potential tax impact before making any actual transactions.

The Asset Simulator allows you to manually select which crypto assets to hypothetically sell in order to simulate capital gains or losses. You can adjust quantities, prices, and dates to explore how different combinations of sales would affect your taxable income.

This tool is especially useful for tax planning, portfolio optimization, or testing what-if scenarios—for example, to see if selling certain assets would trigger a gain, a loss, or have no tax effect at all.


How to access the Asset sales simulator tool

Click on Portfolio from the main menu on the left, then click on Strategies

In the new screen click on the Simulate button shown in the image below


How to use the tool

By clicking on the button shown above, you will be taken to simulation page.

Here you can set your desired parameters to simulate a potential sale such as:

  • token - digit the symbol in the box or select it from the dropdown menu

  • price - choose between market price or set a manual one using the dropdown menu

  • quantity - choose the amount of the token you wish to sell, proceed either in percentage of total holding, or indicate the number of units by selecting the corresponding option from the dropdown menu

  • lastly, click on the Calculate button

On the right side of the above image the results of the calculation will be displayed.


In-depth simulation analysis

This section shows the potential gains or losses—based on fiscal rules—you would incur by selling different amounts of the selected token. Each row in the table represents a specific sale scenario, from selling just 5% of your holdings to selling your entire position.
